LOMG POWER RANKINGS - WEEK 3
Here we go again. Week 3 and the league rests peacefully after what was wasteland and oasis for most of the league. Many early leaders hit roadblocks, trades were rescinded and I’m pretty sure Ian cried at least once. Let’s get into it.
Week 2 standings:
1.) VINSON
2.) JAMES
3.) MARK
4.) MIKE
5.) DAN
6.) JON
7.) RICHARD
8.) IAN
9.) BROOKE
10.) HELLER
11.) PATRICK
12.) JOEY
Week 3 Standings:
1.) Mike (+3)
2.) Vinson (-1)
3.) James (-1)
4.) Dan (+1)
5.) Mark (-2)
6.) Richard (+1)
7.) Ian (+1)
8.) Jon (-1)
9.) Patrick (+2)
10.) Joey (+2)
11.) Heller (-1)
12.) Brooke (-3)
Mike:
Okay Mikes pitching remains unreal and it took an unreal week from Mike Trout and a few other guys on Richards team close in most categories. Mike remains feast or famine but he was feasting this week and the addition of Cody should help give stability.
Vinson:
Vinson lost this week but overall performed solidly even though his offense was putrid. He was one of the victims of just a really bad week all around at the plate but it still took Pat’s strongest performance to give him a loss. He’ll look to bounce back strong.
James:
James lost this week but it could’ve been A LOT worse. His offense lacks power but accrued enough counting stats to keep it interesting and he got bailed out by Ian’s managerial decisions and bad luck. James didn’t lose really he just also didn’t win. We’ll see what happens this week.
Dan:
Yeah I won 9-3 no big deal. My offense was bad bad but I’m doing this without Merrill or Marte and Lewis and Acuna are looming. I am repeatedly happy about my bullpen and I do think my SP will figure it out.
Mark:
I had a tough time ranking Mark cause on one hand his team was slumping on offense but on the other hand he got beat readily. He snagged a few categories because of streaming and bulk but if his bats can’t beat Jon’s? He’s in trouble.
Richard:
Good for Richard. Going against the top team in pitching and a feast week for Mike on the offensive side? He did remarkably well. A heroic week from Trout helped but proud of Richard here. Can he build on this ceiling? Doubt it but we shall watch his career with great interest.
Ian:
Some signs of life on Offense! As long as Tucker remains hot his team has a chance on offense and the Braves are slowly heating up. His pitching remains top notch h but still suspect to blow ups.
Jon:
Jon, you’re only ranked this low cause of IL issues and I can only have so many people in the top 6. Maybe next week I’ll piss off james. Your team is good but I’m waiting for you to beat the shit out of a Vinson. Guess we’ll see?
Patrick:
So this is the ceiling? If everything goes right Pat has a good team. But baseball is a game of failure and I worry that Pats team fails more than it succeeds.
Joey:
You won! Good week for Joey. Can he make a roster move to optimize all his roster spots? We shall see.
Heller:
Not even Tatis could save you and leaving Peralta on the bench doesn’t help. Be easy on me daddy please.
Brooke:
Brooke has an amazing family and her children are cute. I can’t wait to draft wee baby James in 2045. If she actually made roster moves she would’ve beat me handedly. She has a good team but she needs to play the game. This isn’t war games dammit!
Offensive Player of the week:
Fernando Tatis Jr.: 9/20, 7 Runs, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 1 SB
Pitcher of the Week:
Landon Roupp: 12 IP, 6 ER, 17K, 17/4 K/BB
